What are the most surprising ways control systems are changing everyday automation?

Honestly, I’ve seen this a lot with adjustable furniture and small home setups. A friend of mine added a standing desk frame, and the way it smoothly remembers positions feels way more advanced than older simple switches. I ended up reading a bit about actuator control systems , and it’s kind of wild how much of this “quiet automation” is happening behind the scenes. It doesn’t feel futuristic, just… normal life getting slightly more automated without us noticing.
