The conclusion serves as a summary of the main research objectives, contributions and results. This section typically has the following three parts.

Reminder of objectives and contributions
The conclusion often begins with a brief reminder of the research objectives and contributions. Although these elements have already been stated in the introduction, they may have been overlooked while reading the article. Additionally, having now read the article, the reader is now in a position to better understand and appreciate these goals and contributions.

This part is normally very short (2 or 3 sentences). For example:

We presented a new approach to the development of the adaptive wind turbine control systems. The main objective of the proposed control strategy is to maximize the captured…

Summary of key findings and main conclusions
The following section helps answer the research questions or assess the achievement of objectives, highlighting the key findings of the article and its main conclusions. This part should address the following questions:

- Do the results allow to answer the research questions or to confirm its hypotheses?
- How do the results compare with those of the literature?
- If some results go against the initial research hypotheses, how can we explain these results?
- In the light of the results, what are the strengths, weaknesses and limitations of the research or the proposed method?
- What are the main implications of the results?

Future work
It is customary to end the conclusion by suggesting future work to answer new questions raised by the research or follow-up questions. If the work described in the article fits into a multi-stage research project, we can also mention what will be the next stage to be carried out.
