How to Build an Attracting Bio Link on Instagram

A bio link is typically the first piece of content added to your account on Instagram. It's a way for people to learn more about you, and can be changed at any time by simply clicking on it. On Instagram, you can easily change your bio link just by clicking on your account, then choosing Preview.
Underneath the Bio link you'll find another box called Bio. This box allows you to change the style, size, font, and color of your bio. You can change it while you are still editing it, which saves you time. The amount of characters allowed in your bio will depend on how many characters your feed allows (how many words are allowed in a status update). There are also options for font type, such asitalic, italics, and bold. The font color you can select is customizable, as well.
One of the biggest mistakes people make when they use Facebook to promote their businesses is to not update their bio regularly. Adding content to your profile regularly actually helps to keep it fresh and shows people that you are active on your account. If your Facebook page is new, and you have not created any posts yet, you should update your bio with a link to your landing page or blog. This gives readers something to read through while they are browsing through other profiles, and can lead to sales if your feed is well-liked.
You can set your bio links to optimize them for search engines, but that process is a bit more involved. First you'll need to look at your main URL and insert a "?". The colon determines the character set that you can use; lower case does not work. After the colon, add /feed/feed/alt, where the feed URL will be inserted into the Alt tag of your web page. To put it plainly, this tells the search engine spiders that your feed will be external, rather than internal, so it can spider your external links and rank you higher in its results.
Another way to tweak your bio link strategy is to edit it to include the keywords and hashtags you want to target. These are the terms that you think potential followers will use to find you. A popular method of finding keywords and hashtags is by using third party applications such as HootSuite and Tweetables. You can also go into your Google account and search for "block keywords" and "hashtags" (for Twitter) to see which terms are most commonly used to search for your business.
A popular strategy for optimizing your bio is to create a Call-to-Action (CTA) at the end. Many times businesses will put the CTA right at the end of their bio so that their followers will see it when they open the page. You can use your keywords and hashtags as call-to-action words, too. For example, if you are promoting a squeeze page for your affiliate products, you could put a call-to-action keyword like "enter to win" at the very end of the bio so that your followers will know what to do when they see your landing page.
If you have multiple social accounts, each of which has a bio with a call-to-action, you should also create separate instagram profiles for each one. Set up a new instagram account for each of your business listings, and post a URL for each profile (the link you provide to your bio must be clickable). This helps you keep track of followers who might be interested in one of your Instagram pages but not necessarily your main website. It also gives you an opportunity to make a connection with these followers on instagram and convert them into buyers.
There's no doubt that instagram is quickly becoming the top place to promote your products and services. However, there's still a lot you can do to ensure that you create more than just one revenue stream by putting together an effective set of photo captions for your bio link. It's not only a great way to promote your page, but it can also help attract new customers and build brand recognition for any number of social media accounts you may have.
