Bayern Munich's opening day poster features Kim Min-jae

German Bundesliga club Bayern Munich's newest player, Kim Min-jae (27), is featured on the club's opening match poster, a sign of the high expectations the club and its fans have for him.

Bayern Munich will kick off the 2023-24 Bundesliga season against Werder Bremen at the Weserstadion in Bremen, Germany, on Sept. 19 at 3:30 p.m. ET.

A day before the match, Bayern Munich announced on social media, "It's match day. Let's defend our title as defending champions" and released a poster on social media.

The poster shows four players - Joshua Kimmich, Matthias De Ligt, Harry Kane, and Kim Min-jae - traveling to the stadium on a boat.

Kimmich is pointing his finger toward the field of play, while Licht is rowing hard. Kane is looking straight ahead, while Kim is relaxing next to the Bundesliga trophy.

The Bundesliga's reigning champions, Bayern Munich, are the defending champions, having won the title last season, and are a traditional powerhouse with 33 career titles, including 11 in a row.

This season, however, they started the season on a low note, losing 0-3 to RB Leipzig in the DFL Super Cup, which pits last season's league champion against the German Football Association (DFL) Cup winner.

Bayern Munich are determined to change the tone with an opening day win.

Meanwhile, Kim Min-jae is already a big part of his new team, as he's featured prominently on the opening day poster.
