Cycling the border Tour de Dijon to take place next month, April 1-5

The Ministry of the Interior and Safety announced on Jan. 31 that it will hold the 'Tour de DMZ 2023 International Bicycle Competition' from Jan. 1-5 next month.
The event, co-hosted by the ministry and Incheon Metropolitan City, Gyeonggi Province and Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province, was launched in 2016 to promote peace on the Korean Peninsula and raise interest in the development of the border region and the use of bicycles.
This year, in honor of the 70th anniversary of the June 25 Armistice, the event will be held in the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) and border areas across nine cities and counties under the theme "DMZ, Beyond 70 Years of Boundaries to the Future!
The event is divided into two main events, the International Youth Road Bike Competition and the Masters Road Bike (Cycling) Competition, and two side events, the National BMX Competition and the Inje Limits Gran Fondo (Preliminary Competition).
In the International Youth Road Bike Competition, a UCI-sanctioned event, 176 athletes from 20 teams from 13 countries, including Korea, will ride a 533-kilometer section from Ganghwa-gun, Incheon, to Yanggu Sports Complex for five days.
The 'Masters Road Cycling Competition', which involves 209 cyclists from 27 teams registered with the Korean Cycling Federation, will be held from Sept. 1-3 on a 337-kilometer route from Ganghwa to Inje.
The 'National BMX Competition' will also be held in Ganghwa on September 2-3.
The competition will be broadcast live on cable channel LG Hello TV, Cycle TV, 스포츠토토맨 and YouTube from September 1.
