Wales to start Ramsey, Davies and others against Klinsmann's men

The Welsh national soccer team will take on Klinsmann with an 'elite' squad that includes Aaron Ramsey (Cardiff) and Ben Davies (Tottenham).

The Football Association of Wales (FAW) announced the 25-man squad for the national team's September A-match on Monday (Aug. 31).

The squad includes a number of key players from the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, including Tottenham's Son Heung-min, Davies and veteran midfielder Ramsey, as well as Brennan Johnson, Nico Williams (both Nottingham), Kieffer Moore (Bournemouth), Joe Morel (Portsmouth) and Harry Wilson (Fulham).

Tom Lockyer (Luton Town) also returns to the squad after six months out following heart surgery.

Lockyer underwent heart surgery in May after collapsing during the Championship (Division Two) promotion playoff final between Luton and Coventry City at Wembley in London, England.

Rob Page's Wales will take on Jürgen Klinsmann's South Korea at the Cardiff City Stadium in Wales on Sept. 8 at 3:45 a.m.

Wales is the first European team Klinsmann will face. It will also be Klinsmann's first away game.

South Korea is ranked 28th and Wales 35th in the FIFA rankings. This is the first time the two teams have met.
