'Finish Park Hae-min' LG snaps 3-game losing streak 9-2 to secure dominance over Doosan

The LG Twins pulled off a thrilling comeback to snap a four-game losing streak.
The team defeated the Doosan Bears 3-2 in 10 extra innings in their home game of the 2023 Shinhan Bank SOL KBO League at Jamsil Stadium in Seoul on Wednesday.
Tied 2-2 in the bottom of the 10th inning, LG put runners on first and second with a single to right by Oh Ji-hwan and a walk to Park Dong-won.
Moon Sung-joo flied out to left field, but Park Hae-min lined a single to left to put runners on first and second off Doosan's Lee Young-ha. Oh Ji-hwan came home from second to end the 10th inning.
Trailing 0-2 in the bottom of the eighth inning, LG used its firepower and maneuverability to set the stage for a dramatic comeback.
With the bases loaded, LG's foreign-born Austin Dean took a 147-kilometer-per-hour fastball from Hong Gun-hee and launched a solo arch over the left-center field wall. The pitch was clocked at 173.7 kilometers per hour.
Moon Bo-kyung and Oh Ji-hwan followed with back-to-back singles off Hong Gun-hee to put LG on first and third, and Doosan hurriedly brought in closer Jung Chul-won.
With a hard-hitting stance, LG's Park Dong-won changed his stance and attempted a squeeze bunt on a pitch high on the body of the first pitch.

In the top of the eighth, back-to-back singles by Kim Jae-ho and Jose Rojas put runners on first and second with no outs, and a fly ball to left field by Yang Ji and a fly ball to right field by Yang Seok-hwan allowed Kim Jae-ho to steal third and home plate.
However, the hosts came from behind to tie the game in the bottom of the eighth and ended it in the top of the 10th with a Park Hae-min RBI single.
With the win, LG improved to 9-2 against Doosan this season and secured the head-to-head series lead. Even if LG loses the remaining five games against Doosan, it will still have the head-to-head advantage.
After losing the head-to-head series to Doosan for six consecutive seasons from 2016 to 2021, LG dominated last year with a 10-6 record, and this year it has recently won five straight games against Doosan to clinch the title early.
