2023 Deliverance Baseball Cup concludes with final at Gocheok Dome...Sia C&T and Real Diamonds win the title

The 2023 Live Cup Baseball Competition has concluded.

The Korea Baseball Softball Association announced on June 6, "In the men's final of the 2023 Delive Cup Life Sports Baseball Tournament held at Gocheok Sky Dome on the 29th of last month, Siamulsan defeated Defense One 7 to 5, and RealDiamonds defeated Ninebix 2 to 1 to win the women's title."

The tournament, organized by Delive and the Korea Baseball Softball Association, was held as a continuation of last year's tournament and was divided into men's and women's divisions.

The RealDiamonds defeated Ninebix thanks to pitcher Choi Yeon-woo's seven-inning (97 pitches), four-hit, one-run shutout and No. 6 designated hitter Lee Ha-hyung's ground-rule home run in the sixth inning with the score tied at 1-1, and were named the inaugural champions of the newly created women's division.

In the men's division, Defense One, who finished as runners-up in last year's tournament, tried to win the title against newcomer Sia Mulsan, but they once again finished as runners-up due to the brilliant pitching of Sia Mulsan starter Choi Gun-ho and a series of defensive errors.

Choi pitched all seven innings, using his fastball and changeup to effectively shut down the defense's hard-hitting lineup, and was named the tournament's MVP.

The batting lineup also showed fearsome concentration at every opportunity, and the calm defense in crunch time proved that the newcomers deserved to be crowned the winners of the Delive Cup.

The Deliverance Cup Baseball Tournament, which was held for the second time after last year, kicked off on August 19 at the Goyang National Baseball Training Center in Goyang, and 32 teams, 16 men's and 16 women's teams, participated in the tournament.

In particular, the broadcasting of the finals and quarterfinals at the Gocheok Sky Dome, the only dome stadium in Korea, led to the interest and response of baseball players, enriching the tournament. 무지개토토
