"I want to win a Rolex watch," says Ji-Hwan Oh, who has been motivated to win since media day

"I wish I had it. If I could give it to anyone, I would give it to me."

A baffling, but honest answer. LG's Oh Ji-hwan revealed the truth about the expensive watch left by the late Chairman Koo Bon-moo as a gift for the LG Twins Korean Series MVP. Rather than answering modestly, he was upfront about his greed and his desire to win.

Oh attended the '2023 Shinhan Bank SOL KBO Korean Series Media Day' event at Jamsil Stadium in Seoul on June 6 at 2 p.m., along with managers Yoon Kyung-yup and Lim Chan-kyu. At the media day, the players revealed their intentions for the Korean Series and their thoughts on the opposing team, and fans asked them witty questions.

One LG fan asked Oh Ji-hwan which player coveted the watch the most and who he would give it to if he was the captain. 보스토토

With an innocent look on his face, Oh said, "Everyone would want to receive the (Korean Series) MVP. I only think that I want it for myself," he said, adding, "I want it for myself, and if I could give it to someone with my authority, I would give it to myself."

Im was asked, "What do you want to say to Cha Myung-seok if you win the championship? He gave an unexpectedly (?) textbook answer, saying, "My goal is to win the Korean Series rather than free agency or personal things like that." However, he continued, "I also wanted a watch, but if I get it, Ji-hwan will give it to my brother. My goal is to win as a human Im Chan-gyu rather than anything else," which left Oh Ji-hwan confused.

Instead, Jihwan was told, "If you win, I will buy a watch for you." "It's a live broadcast, so let's be clear," Im Chan-gyu said, and once again demanded a verbal contract from Oh Ji-hwan, causing hilarity.

The 'bonus competition' also took place between the managers. In addition to the bonus watch prepared by the club, Yeom Kyung-yup declared that he would personally give 10 million won in cash to the second Suhoon player he picked. When asked, "Doesn't KT have a bonus watch?", KT coach Lee Kang-chul wittily replied, "Then I will give 11 million won. Captain Park Kyung-soo took the microphone and said, "I'll use it well."
