Tottenham Hotspur have given a thumbs up to captain Son Heung-min for his international performances.
Jürgen Klinsmann's men cruised to a 5-0 home victory over Singapore in the first leg of their 2026 North American Football Confederations Cup Asia Region 2 Group C match at the Seoul World Cup Stadium on Nov. 16.

After taking the lead in the 44th minute through Cho Kyu-sung (Mittwillan), South Korea completed the victory in the second half with relay goals from Hwang Hee-chan (Wolverhampton), Son Heung-min, Hwang Eui-jo (Norwich City) and Lee Kang-in (Paris Saint-Germain).
Son Heung-min, who started the day as the second striker and wore the captain's armband, played the full match and helped Korea to the victory, especially his trademark left-footed curling shot in the 18th minute that rattled the net and brought cheers from the 64,000 fans at the Seoul World Cup Stadium.
