A Record-Setting Easter Weekend

Rachel Renee Romanic, a 38-year-old mother of four, became a millionaire less than 10 minutes after she started playing during her Easter break. She said her friend actually had to drag her to the casino but I bet she won't argue with him again.

The couple made their way to the terrible Rail City in Sparks, Nevada, on Easter night when Romanik started dropping tokens on a Megabucks slot machine. When the lights started to flicker and the display said "$33 million," she couldn't believe it was real.

"I froze because this was so unexpected. I had to ask someone if this was real. I really owe it to my friend. I wanted to stay home but he wanted to gamble and convinced me to join him."

IGT, the maker of the Megabucks slot, confirmed the jackpot amount. The company said it was happy to see the goods go back to the locals.

It's the second highest jackpot in U.S. casinos and the highest ever for IGT. In 2003, $39.7 million from the Excalibur Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas was the highest.
