Former Philadelphia Coach Rivers Takes Over Milwaukee's New Head Coach

Former Philadelphia 76ers coach Rivers has been confirmed as the new head coach of the Milwaukee Bucks in the National Basketball Association (NBA), sports media ESPN reported.

ESPN quoted a source on the 25th (Korea Standard Time) and said, "We have agreed in principle that Rebus will take over the vacant head coach of Milwaukee."

Milwaukee, which is ranked second in the NBA's Eastern Conference for the 2023-2024 season, fired its manager Adrian Griffin just seven months after the appointment. The team had to upgrade to win the championship game.

ESPN said, "The Milwaukee club contacted Rivers after Griffin's dismissal and reached an agreement," adding, "The club believes that Rivers' career will maximize the combination of Milwaukee's two star players, Yanis Antetokounmpo and Damien Lillard."
