Woori Card Matay-IBK Abercrombie became V League 3R MVP

Mattei Kok 27, who is driving Woori Card's high march, and Brittney Abercrombie 28, who supports IBK Industrial Bank of Korea, received round MVP for the first time since coming to Korea.

The Korea Volleyball Federation KOVO officially announced on the 26th that "Woori Card's Matay and IBK Industrial Bank's Abercrombie were selected as the third round MVP of the Dodram 2023-2024 V League."

Matay received 19 out of 31 votes from reporters 5 votes from Yosbani, 3 votes from Lim Dong-hyuk, 1 vote each for Kim Ji-han, Han Tae-joon, Villena, and Lim Sung-jin, and was named MVP in the men's third round. He led Woori Card to five wins in the third round and the top spot in the overall team's ranking, with 188 points, third overall in offense with 56.7% success rate, and third place in serve per set.

On the women's side, Abercrombie won a total of 13 votes Silva 8 votes, Yang Hyo-jin 4 votes, Ponpoong 2 votes, Moma, Kim Yeon-kyeon, Kim Yeon-kyung and Kang So-hwi 1 vote each, becoming the first V-League round MVP in her career. Abercrombie scored 178 points during the third round, leading IBK Industrial Bank to five wins in the third round, ranking third overall in offense with an attack success rate of 45.01%, and ranking second overall in serve with an average of 0.36 serves per set.

The two players, who entered Korea for the first time this season, had the honor of winning the award for the first time since entering the V League.

The third round MVP award will be held at Jangchung Gymnasium in Seoul on the 27th, while the women's will be held at Hwaseong Indoor Gymnasium IBK Industrial Bank VS Hyundai Engineering & Construction on the same day.
