HI Mettta, yes it would be better not to have the couch so centred but you can read all about composition in unit six week two. There is enough to deal with thinking about your rules of Perspective Lol!

One of the special things about our course is that we only concentrate on one major area of study at a time so that we can really hone those skills before moving onto another major area of study. In the end; during composition we bring it all together for the first time but thats why the mentored level is so important - during the mentored level you get a chance to create your own original art and bring together everything you learned in teh first year. I am glad you are moving into the mentored level after this. During that stage I can help you with all kinds of different things.

So...on the couch. There should be another horizontal line which is missing in your picture but I have already added it to the adjusted image I created for you (and uploaded again here). There is an extra horizontal line with a convergence line on either side of that wich begins on the top of the back rest cushions on the left and right. These should be moulded  (rounded to suit) the form of the couch.

Let me know if you need any more help. Cheers Cindy
