NBA Charlotte steps down after Clifford ends season

Charlotte Hornets of the National Basketball Association (NBA), who failed to advance to the playoffs, will appoint a new head coach after the end of the season.

Charlotte said on the 4th, "Coach Steve Clifford will put down the baton at the end of this season and move to the front desk to serve as an advisor."

After leading Charlotte from 2013 to 2018, Clifford served as the Orlando Magic and became Charlotte's coach again in 2022. Charlotte alone has 241 wins, the highest number of wins for a team coach.
