Inspire Casino Resort Holds Job Fair in Seoul

A recruitment event at a nearby Inspire entertainment resort (file photo) with a foreign-only casino in South Korea's capital, Seoul, drew about 1,000 people, with some non-gaming facilities set to launch in the fourth quarter.

News outlet Korea Joao Daily said the recruitment meeting was held Tuesday in Gangnam-gu, Seoul.

According to the report, Resort Inspire is looking to employ about 3,000 employees. It also added that about 200 employees have already been secured through partnerships with about 30 universities across Korea.

Tuesday's event included two game tables describing casino operations.

Spurred by the U.S.-based tribal gaming group Mohegan Tribal Gaming Authority, Inspire was previously described as a $1.6 billion project. Inspire is located in Incheon, near Incheon International Airport, the capital's main aviation hub.

Wednesday's news report cited comments from Kelly Sullivan, global head of human resources and development at Mohegan's U.S. headquarters.

"Technology is important, but it's not the most important. We're looking for people who have great energy and know how to be fun and friendly not only to our guests but also to our colleagues," Sullivan quoted him as saying.
