Director Hwang Sun-hong criticizes the association head-on

Coach Hwang Sun-hong and the South Korean national soccer Olympic team returned home through Incheon International Airport Terminal 1 at 12 p.m. on the 27th.

What is coach Hwang's long-term plan? "We need to go in a four-year cycle. If a coach's lifespan depends on his performance at the Asian Games, he has no choice but to focus on the Asian Games. We have to prepare for the Olympics after that, so it is not a four-year period."

He added, "I had to focus on September last year. After this, I have to focus on April. The time to prepare may be an excuse, but it's only a few months. With such a structure, we can never completely subdue the opponent in Asia. We have to change it."

Coach Hwang took over the post of Kim Hak-beom after the 2020 Tokyo Olympics and sat on the national team. It is not an exaggeration to say that Hwang was in charge of two teams. He coached the national team at the 2022 Hangzhou Asian Games. Key players included Cho Young-wook, Eom Won-sang, Jung Woo-young, and Lee Kang-in.

She returned to her hometown after winning a gold medal in September last year. However, she had to prepare for the 2023 Asian Football Confederation U-23 Qatar Asian Cup.
