James Maddison's 'dip in form' has also caused concern for Arsenal's Paul Merson.

James Maddison's (Tottenham) 'dip in form' has also caused concern for Arsenal's Paul Merson.

"Enze Postecoglou needs to change next season," Merson recently told Sky Sports in the UK. Tottenham fans are already restless. Their season has been nothing more than stopping Arsenal from winning the league. It can't go on like that and the players need to stand up," he said.

"Maddison is back from injury but he can't touch the ball. "I like Madison, I like the way they play, but if you're a fan, you're never going to like it," he said.

Tottenham have now lost four in a row. They have fallen to Newcastle United (0-4), Arsenal (2-3), Chelsea (0-2), and Liverpool (2-4) in quick succession. All hope of a 'big four' is effectively gone.

Tottenham's points are still stuck at 60. They remain in fifth place, but the gap between them and fourth-place Aston Villa (67 points), 스포츠토토 who have played one more game, is seven points. Aston Villa have two games left and Spurs have three.

A loss for Aston Villa and a win for Tottenham would be enough for an upset. Aston Villa have Liverpool and Crystal Palace to play, while Spurs have Burnley, Man City, and Sheffield United. It's not easy.

Maddison's poor form hasn't helped matters either. He joined Spurs from Leicester City this season. The transfer fee was £40 million.

He got off to a fantastic start, winning his first Premier League Player of the Month award of the season last August. He had three goals and five assists in Spurs' first nine games.

However, Maddison was sidelined with an ankle injury against Chelsea last November. He returned on January 31, more than a year later. But the Maddison of the early part of the season was gone.

He played 14 games after returning from injury, but only managed one goal and two assists. He didn't make a single full-time appearance. He was recently left out of the starting lineup against Chelsea and Liverpool and came on as a substitute.

'Tottenham need to make some changes,' said The Boot Room in the UK on August 8, 'Dejan Kulicepski and Rodrigo Bentancur in Maddison's place have not worked. It's time to give Giovani Rosselso a chance in the next game.

Tottenham host Burnley on Nov. 11 as they look to end their losing streak.
