Live! A casino in Pennsylvania has opened

Stadium Casino Westmoreland RE, LLC, an affiliate of The Cordish Company, today celebrated the groundbreaking ceremony for the new $150 million Live! Casino.

Cordish executives, along with Pennsylvania Senator Kim Ward and State Representative George Dunbar, made the first shovel to mark the start of construction at the 100,000-square-foot gaming, dining, and entertainment destination. Live! Casino will be part of the development of the popular 1.3 million-square-foot Westmoreland Mall, located in Hemfield Township, about 30 miles from downtown Pittsburgh.

The Live! casino will include 750 slots, around 30 live-action table games, sportsbooks, and nationally recognized restaurants and live entertainment venues. The project is expected to generate an annual economic impact of $188 million, with a total of $148 million, including about 960 direct and indirect construction jobs and about 500 permanent new jobs for local and local residents, along with an additional $148 million from construction.

Casino (top-tier service, friendly atmosphere, and exciting environment) is reflected in Westmoreland County's new and unique gaming, dining, and entertainment destinations."

Sports & Social Steel City is a unique sports restaurant, game room, and social lounge that will provide customers with the ultimate sports fan experience. The two-story, 445-seat venue will feature cutting-edge AV technology, including a giant LED video screen that stands 45 feet tall, and a variety of interactive social games, including bowling, golf simulator, ping-pong, and darts. Sports & Social Steel City will also offer a classic American grill menu that is perfect for watching games or staying out overnight.

The powerhouse concept is fixed in professional sports entertainment zones across the country, including SunTrust Park at Live! at the Battery in the Atlanta Braves, and the heart of the Arlington Entertainment District between Globe Life Park in the Texas Rangers, the upcoming Globe Life Field, and AT&T Stadium in the Dallas Cowboys. Sports & Social sets the fan clubhouse atmosphere throughout the year with live music a few nights a week.
