Bumble Bee Jasper: Facts and Folklore of this Vibrant Gem

Bumblebee jasper is the name of a calcium carbonate crystal that has a calming and serene appearance. It frequently contains arsenic and manganese oxide. It comes in muted tones of orange, yellow, white, and grey. The stone has banding, layering, and a beautiful design. The minerals aragonite, pyrite, calcium, sulfur, and Orpiment & Realgar are responsible for the colors of this stone. This mineral was only recently found at the Papandayan Volcano in the Indonesian state of West Java in the 1990s. This stone is extremely rare in the natural world.
