Indian Game Breaks FY 2022 Revenue Record

National Indian Gaming Commission reported a total of $40.9 billion in gaming revenue for fiscal 2022, up 4.9% compared to FY2021.

Chairman E. Sequoyah Simmereyer and Vice Chairman Jannie Hobland made the live announcement from Okla Thackerville.

Game sales for fiscal 2022 are the highest in the history of gaming in India. Seven of the eight regions in the NIGC are reported to have increased compared to fiscal 2021. Overall fiscal 2022 GGR growth was $1.9 billion, which is about 5% higher than the historic fiscal 2021 GGR of $39 billion as we emerged from the pandemic. It should be noted that year-on-year GGR changes by region should not be used as a direct indicator of the local economy of a particular region. Many other factors may affect GGR at the local level, such as new game operations, expansion or modifications to existing operations, temporary or permanent closures, and changes to the fiscal year of game operations.

This year's historic revenue reflects the resilience of many tribal game operations and how tribal games continue to rebound and stay strong. Tribal governments and their licensed operations continue to explore new and innovative ways to expand and deliver world-class experiences to foster a sustainable economy. Throughout Indian countries, tribes seek economic sustainability through gaming by relying on a strong regulatory reputation that is better built when Indian games are well-known and supported by efficient and effective measures," Simmermeyer said.

Hobland noted that this year's GGR reflects the geographic and financial diversity of Indian gaming, with 55 percent of tribal gaming facilities reporting revenues of less than $25 million (five percent of the total GGR). The success of Indian gaming also often means benefits for surrounding communities and local economies. "We have reason to celebrate the opportunity for successful Indian gaming operations to invest in the future and improve the quality of life for individual Indigenous peoples and their families and communities," Hobland said.

FY 2022 revenue is calculated from the independent audit financial statements of 519 gaming operations owned by 244 federally recognized tribes. Indian gaming operations are located on Indian soil in 29 states. 안전 슬롯사이트
