Golden Moon Hotel and Casino, which began to take on the Nautilus's appearance
The first of the 26 tall concrete slabs recently poured in to reveal the dynamic design of Golden Moon hotels and casinos.
The hotel, which is expected to open in late 2002, is part of the Pearl River Resort, which will represent a nearly $750 million family holiday destination in Neshoba County, MS.
Designed by Miami-based Aquitectonica, the Golden Moon will become a classic flowing structure that starts low at one end, winds around a casino area, and gradually peaks with a moon-like sphere that shines brightly. A terraced water curtain will surround the exterior floor of the building.
The property rises 30 stories above the Mississippi landscape, covers about 840,000 square feet, and features 572 rooms, a health spa, a restaurant, a bar, and other entertainment options. The 90,000-square-foot casino floor will offer 24-hour Las Vegas-style gaming, including the latest slots, table games, and poker.
Baker Concrete, from Slidell, which is based in LA, is responsible for about 30,000 cubic yards of concrete needed to complete the superstructure. The elevated slabs will pour over about nine to 10 months, and will require a cement load of 3,700 trucks. Baker will use sophisticated laser technology to make sure each 8-inch-thick slab is flat.
Pearl River Resort, the only resort development area in Indian bookings, will be a global gaming and entertainment destination with deluxe accommodation, Las Vegas-style gaming, exciting shows and attractions, recreational lakes, award-winning golf, and a range of resort services.
The Mississippi Band of Choto Indians owns and operates a portfolio of 15 manufacturing, service, retail, and tourism companies, and its success has fueled members' independence and remarkable growth, while providing economic vitality to the communities surrounding the reserve. 카지노사이트
