Ainsworth Indicates US$28 Million In Normalization Profit For 2023

Casino slot machine maker Ainsworth Games Technology expects to report a currency impact of about A$41.3 million ($28.1 million) and pre-tax normalization profit excluding one-off items in fiscal 2023.

The company said in an update to the Australian Stock Exchange that it believes profits for the six months to Dec. 31, calculated in the same way "based on current forecasts and scheduled deliveries," will be A$18 million.

Ainsworth reported a post-tax loss of A$3.7 million in sales of A$143.6 million for the six months ended June 30, up 20.2% year over year.

In an update released last week, Ainsworth mentioned information about the new Raptor cabinets that fall within the company's A-STAR range.

The company said the product is "currently built and approved in several North American markets and is ready for initial installation at the end of 2023."

"I am pleased with the launch of a technologically advanced, innovative Raptor cabinet and progress on commercialization," Harald Neumann, Ainsworth's chief executive, said in a market release

He added that the group has also expanded its presence in the historic horse racing products market "with recent real estate openings in Kentucky and New Hampshire."

Mr Neumann added: "The benefits of previous investments in R&D are expected to contribute positively to the Company's financial performance going forward."

The Company will release its fiscal 2023 audit financial report on February 28, prior to the market opening.
