Las Vegas Cosmopolitan Participates In MGM Rewards Loyalty Program

MGM Resorts announced today that Las Vegas Cosmopolitan is transitioning from its identity loyalty program to its award-winning MGM Rewards loyalty program, starting February 1, 2024, allowing members to earn and redeem points at the company's 20 U.S. Premier destinations.

"Welcome to Cosmopolitan's MGM Rewards is an important and exciting milestone in the evolution of our loyalty program experience," said Steve Zanella, chief commercial officer at MGM Resorts. "Cosmopolitan will add a whole new way for gaming and non-gaming customers to enjoy both the unforgettable and special moments that MGM Resorts and Las Vegas have to offer."

MGM Rewards is committed to ensuring a smooth transition. Prior to the integration, identity members will receive communication with detailed information about the transition to MGM Rewards. Prior to the transition, identity members can continue to play and earn revenue as an identity, and revenue will be recognized when determining the status of the MGM Rewards hierarchy in 2024. Identity members will maintain their offers and benefits through Jan. 31, 2024, with all identity points going to MGM Rewards' membership that conforms to the program's rules. Guests who are currently members of both programs will be able to continue utilizing their identity benefits and earn and use their identity points at Cosmopolitan until Jan. 31, 2024, as all points will be transferred to their MGM Rewards account upon integration. The combined tier credit will be used to determine their tier status as MGM Rewards.

In addition, starting with the February program integration, all MGM Rewards members will be able to earn and use MGM Rewards points, slot dollars and tier credits experienced at Cosmopolitan, including amazing accommodations, meals, entertainment, slots and table games at the resort.

Cosmopolitan's announcement of the consolidation of MGM Rewards comes after MGM Resorts entered into an exclusive, long-term strategic licensing agreement with Marriott International and established the MGM Collection with Marriott Bonvoy. The MGM Collection will launch in October 2023, and ultimately includes 17 of MGM's unique resorts representing more than 40,000 rooms in Las Vegas and cities across the United States. Cosmopolitan will be part of the MGM Collection as well as maintaining an ongoing relationship with Marriott Bonvoy's signed collection hotel brand.
