Shine will be released after Golden Week in Macau

Average daily earnings (ADR) from gambling at Macau casinos fell by at least a third in the first six days of October, including the so-called "golden holiday" around the People's Republic of China National Day holiday on Oct. 1.

Gambler spending surged in Macau as mainland tourists visited the country to celebrate the festival during the Golden Week in previous years.

ADR in early October this year is expected to be approximately 1.2 billion MOPs (US$150.2 million) compared to 1.8 billion MOPs achieved in the first week of October 2013.

This year's holiday season's ADR decline follows unofficial industry yields cited separately by several investment analysts. Estimates obtained by GGRAsia showed ADRs in the first five days of October were clearly above MOP1 billion. Both figures are provisional and are subject to adjustment or adjustment.

"...Golden Week's early inspection suggests daily sales growth is down about 33%," New York-based Deutsche Bank AG analyst Carlo Santarelli said in a note on Tuesday.

A memo published by at least three analysts in the first six days of October 2013 showed $1.8 billion in ADRs.

Credit Suisse AG analysts Kenneth Fong and Isis Wong said of the October 2014 numbers in a note released on Wednesday: "...Golden Weekend in October is off to a weak start to average daily sales for the first six days....MOP $1.2 billion, a 33% year-over-year decline (expected MOP $1.4 billion or 20% decrease) from the same period in 2013."

"Overall, we expect October sales to be down 17% to 20% year-over-year," the Credit Suisse team added. 프라그마틱 슬롯 사이트

Deutsche Bank's governor, Santarelli, said he expected the GGR to decline 18.2% in October from a year earlier, but that the decline could be wider if the year-over-year decline in early October figures were proportionate over the rest of the month.

The year-on-year decline comes as the number of actual tourists visiting Macau has increased during the week-long holiday season. The total number of visitors in the first seven days of October rose 16.1% year-on-year, the Macau government's tourism agency said on its website on Wednesday.
