How do self-help apps track and influence your dopamine habits?
I get what you mean, I went through something similar. From what I’ve seen, many of these apps try to track behavior patterns — like how often you complete tasks, how long you stay focused — and then reward you in small ways to reinforce habits. It can feel like a game. I actually came across this article about the liven app, and it explained pretty well how these systems are designed. Honestly, out of everything I tried, Liven felt like the best self care app because it didn’t push notifications too aggressively and focused more on awareness rather than constant stimulation. For me, the key was using it as a guide, not something to constantly check.
